An Indian-origin man in South Africa allegedly strangled his 7-year-old son to death, while his 4-year-old daughter watched in terror has been arrested. The man is expected to appear in the court on Tuesday. The 29-year-old man was separated from his wife, but a court granted him right to visit his children. The suspect’s identity has not been revealed due to South Africa’s child protection law. The mother reported to police officers after the father failed to bring the children back to home at the scheduled time, an uncle of the children said. Police officers found the father wandering around a park with both the kids in his arms. He claimed that the boy was asleep. The children were rushed to a hospital where the boy was declared dead. His sister described how her father choked him. Tracy Sinayhakah, who is the grandmother of those children said that she had received a chilling WhatsApp message from the father just before the alleged killing, asking her to tell his estranged wife what she was 'going to lose'. Lieutenant-Colonel Thulian Zwane said that a murder case has been registered. The cold blooded murder incident took place earlier this week. Chand Deep Kaur, who has been deserted by her Non Resident Indian(NRI) husband has sought help from the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. Kaur and has requested to get her husband Ramandeep Singh deported from New Zealand. Though her husband has been declared a proclaimed offender by the Punjab police. Kaur has requested the minister for help, saying that she wants to send a message that no other NRI cheats his wife. "I have sought Swaraj's help in getting my husband deported. He is in New Zealand," Kaur said. She wants her husband’s passport to be cancelled, "I want to set an example so that no other NRI husband can ever dare to cheat a woman. I also want stringent laws in place to check such men," she said. Kaur received a call from the ministry to send relevant documents in connection with the case. She said that she wants her husband back to India, so that she can divorce him and start a fresh life. They got married in July 2015, when Ramandeep Singh was working in Auckland as an accountant. Soon after the marriage Ramandeep returned to New Zealand and Kaur stayed with her in-laws in Jalandar, Punjab. Ramandeep returned to India in December 2015 and returned back to New Zealand in January 2016, she said. Kaur just spent 40-45 days with her husband, she alleged that her in-laws’ behavior changed after the marriage."They told me that they had disowned Ramandeep so I should move back with my parents," Kaur claimed. When she tried calling her husband, he did not respond and members of her in-laws family refused to respond and blocked her number. On August 2016, Kaur filed a complaint at the police station against her husband. Ramandeep faces charges of criminal breach of trust, among other sections of the Indian Penal Code. The people of Indian community in China have rushed to help a 35-year-old Indian man, who was found by the police, in an unconscious state on a road in Wuxi city. Clueless about his identity, the members if ‘Indians in China’ first took him in a hospital. Currently, the man is in the ICU of the hospital. The man was later identified as Dhavuth Hussain, according to his passport details Hussain is from Salem in Tamil Nadu and his visa expires in August this year. The Indian Embassy in Beijing and the Consulate of General in Shanghai were also alerted about him. The Indian community took the responsibility of Hussain and made enquiries. They found that he worked in a hotel. ‘Indians in China’ in a tweet reply said that the consulate officials in Shanghai visited Hussain in the hospital. “Hussain’s family has been located. One of his friend’s is present in the hospital with him,” a representative of ‘Indians in China’ community said. An Indian-origin CEO has been ranked fourth on a list of top 25 overpaid CEOs in the United States, according to a new report. Sandeep Matharani, who is the CEO of General Growth Properties, a Chicago based company, has been listed fourth on the list of top 25 overpaid CEOs in the United States, according to the report from the nonprofit 'As You Sow'. The non-profit organization promotes social corporate and environmental responsibility and takes a close look at CEO pay. According to the report, Matharani, with a total compensation of $39.2 million in 2016, is overpaid by $26 million. Using a regression study that ties CEO pay to performance and other indicators such as the portion of pay that is offered in options and returns on corporate capital, 'As You Sow' has determined which CEOs are paid above and beyond their performance. The gap between CEO’s performance to his pay is the criteria for the rankings. Leslie Moonves, the CEO of CBS, is the most overpaid CEO in the United Sates. Moonves earned compensation worth $57.6 million in 2016. Marc Benioff, the CEO of Salesforce is ranked second on the list with a total compensation of $33.6 million. David Zaslav of Discovery Communication came in third with a compensation of $32.4 million. Cyber crime wing of Hyderabad Police has arrested a 30-year-old man in Hyderabad today for allegedly cheating an NRI of more than Rs 9 lakh by fraudulently using the NRI’s international credit card for buying a car and gold ornaments. Suspect identified as K Nageswara Rao, who is a native of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh, was presently staying in Hyderabad, police said. Earlier this month, a friend of Rao, who has been identified as Ananth Bhaskar, met Rao and informed him that he has an international credit card. Bhaskar lured Rao by saying, if he uses the card Bhaskar will give commission to Rao. Police reports said that, the duo went to a car showroom in Begumpet, Hyderabad and swiped the card to purchase a car worth Rs 7.65 lakh and they also used the card to buy two gold chains worth 1.38 lakh. When the owner of the credit card got aware of the fraudulent transactions, he raised the matter with the bank, which issued the card to him in the United States. The Untied States bank, in turn, brought the matter to the notice of a private bank in Hyderabad. A bank official of the private bank then approached the police over the misuse of the card. The Police registered a case and during the investigation, police arrested Rao. The police were able to seize the brand new car purchased with the credit card from Rao’s possession. Kanchanbagh police, Hyderabad have arrested an Australia based NRI along with his mother on Monday (March 13th) for allegedly forcing his wife to indulge in an unnatural sex with him. According to the police complaint, he allegedly allowed his friend to rape his 21-year-old wife recently. Police said, that Mohammed Salimuddin married his wife last year and then left for Australia to pursue post-graduation. Salimuddin use to ask her to get nude and have an online video chat with him. He also asked her to send him nude videos. Being forced, with no other option left, the victim shared her videos with Salim, who in turn would show them to his friends in Australia, police said. Last month on 13th, Salimuddin returned to India and since then he has forced his wife to indulge in an inappropriate sex with him. A few days ago, Salimuddin brought his friend Chand, a local resident of Hafeez Baba Nagar, to his home. Salimuddin’s wife was given sleeping pills and then Salimuddin started to get intimate with her. But she was shocked, when she discovered someone else was in the room and it turned out to be Chand. "The victim fell asleep and Salimuddin allowed his friend Chand to rape her. The victim realized what happened the next morning and complained to us," deputy commissioner of police (South Zone) V Satyanarayana said. According to media reports, yesterday an Indian national was subjected to racist comments and was told to go back to his own country during a road rage incident in Auckland, New Zealand. Narindervir Singh said that he was filming the incident from inside his vehicle, which took place last week. "I gave him a space... that lady gave me the finger. He was driving that car [pointing to a white Holden] and now he's trying to threaten me, giving me bad names," Singh says in a video which was being streamed live onto Facebook. When Singh said that he was going to upload the video live, the situation only got worse and he was abused, sworn and told to go back to his own country. Singh said the abuser simply pulled over to let him pass. Reportedly the man also made derogatory remarks about Punjabi people. "I don't know what to do; it really hurts my heart... The first thing in my mind was that he might hurt me with some weapon," Singh said. Singh assumed it was all over, but when he parked his vehicle on a nearby side street, the abuser pulled up once again and continued the racist rant, including the n word. An Indian-origin man in South Africa has been sentenced to three life terms in jail for brutally murdering his wife and two children with a mace. Mogamberry Rajan Kandasamy is from sprawling Indian township of Chatsworth near Durban. Rajan managed to escape death penalty only because it has been outlawed constitutionally in the post-apartheid democratic order. The 41-year-old was sentenced three life sentences for killing his wife, 41 year-old Versham his son 17-year-old Megandran and 18-year-old daughter Melarisa. In 2013 Rajan attacked the family, when he came to know that his wife wanted a divorce to marry another man. At the trail Rajan confessed during the trial that the murdered his wife and two children with a mace. "While she was on the floor, I hit her twice with the Hanuman stick on her head. On the third strike the stick broke,” he said. Captain Sathisiven Naidu said Rajan had made the confession of his own accord, although he claimed he had been coerced into doing this. "I'm here to tell you what I did. I want to tell you the truth and come clean, it is eating me inside," Rajan told to the police two days after the incident. Rajan initially pleaded that he was not guilty, by claiming that he had no memory of the attack or evidence by a state witness, Ashley Ganesh. Ganesh found Rajan wandering in a park nearby the family home. After observation at a mental health institution following Rajan’s amnesia claim, he was declared fit to stand trial.
