The top dog of Indian crime syndicate D-Company and India's most wanted scofflaw Dawood Ibrahim has been charged of placing illegal betting rates on IPL matches, manipulating the game, fixing the rates as well as double-crossing his bookies.

In the chargesheet prepared by the Delhi police on IPL 6 spot-fixing case, the “desperado” has been booked for hoodwinking his bookies and other bettors to place stakes on weaker teams and then swindling huge sums by influencing the wins.

The papers, that will be filed next week revealed how the Don took his bookies for a ride.

"Small and middle level bookies trusted the winning team information announced by D Company as this mostly turns out to be true. But sometimes, the information was faked. A wrong winning team would be named. So, while some bookies knew where to place money, others who took the D company information at face value lost. Both ways, D Company benefitted," revealed a senior police officer.

What's more, Dawood even personally worked out on the rates. He was in touch with  Pakistan based Salman "Master", who was in contact with Tinku Mandi, Feroz, Ramesh Vyas and other big Indian bookies and passed on the don's word on the odds.
