Pennsylvania names the list of companies permitted for Marijuana

The Pennsylvania Department of Health listed the companies that are going to be permitted to grow marijuana in the state.

Of the 12 companies two are in south-central region that includes Adams, Bedford, Blair, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Mifflin, Lebanon, Perry and York counties.

There were no permit issued to the York County, which allow the companies to grow medical marijuana products to be sold to state-licensed dispensaries.

The state received 177 grower/processor permit applications, including 29 in the south-central region.

Here is the full list of permit recipients, as named at a news conference Tuesday in Harrisburg.

Southeast
−Prime Wellness of Pennsylvania, LLC—South Heidelberg Township, Berks County
−Franklin Labs, LLC—Reading, Berks County

Northeast
−Pennsylvania Medical Solutions, LLC—Scranton, Lackawanna County
−Standard Farms, LLC—White Haven, Luzerne County

South-central
−Ilera Healthcare, LLC—Taylor Township, Fulton County
−AES Compassionate Care, LLC—Chambersburg, Franklin County

North-central
−Terrapin Investment Fund 1, LLC—Pine Creek Township, Clinton County
−GTI Pennsylvania, LLC—Danville, Mountour County

Southwest
−AgriMED Industries of PA, LLC—Cumberland Township, Greene County
−PurePenn, LLC—McKeesport, Allegheny County

Northeast
−Holistic Farms, LLC—New Castle, Lawrence County
−Cresco Yeltrah, LLC—Brookville, Jefferson County

The decision was taken by a panel of state employees whose identities were not revealed and are known by only a few state officials involved in the evaluation process.

The reason for that is to shield them from potential influence by anyone who would want to affect the program.
