US NSA: We Support India’s Right To Self Defense

United States National Security Adviser John Bolton and Secretary of State came out to support India in combating terrorism.

They both expressed condolences and offered full support in tackling menace of terrorism.

According to reports US National security Adviser John Bolton telephoned Ajit Doval, India’s National Security Adviser on Friday morning to express condolences for the terror attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir and offered the United states full support to India in confronting terrorism.

As per PTI, “I told Ajit Doval today that we support India’s right to self-defense. I have spoken to him twice, including this morning... and expressed US' condolences over the terrorist attack.”

John Bolton also said the United States of America has been very crystal clear to Pakistan on ending support to terrorist safe havens or protecting them.

“We have been very clear on that score... And, we are continuing to be in discussions we are going to have with the Pakistanis,” he said.

Earlier, even Secretary of State Mike Pompeo asked the Pakistan to end its support to to terrorists and their organisations safe havens in the country.

Mike Pompeo wrote on twitter, “The U.S. condemns yesterday’s horrific terror attack on Indian security forces. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. We stand with India as it confronts terrorism. Pakistan must not provide safe haven for terrorists to threaten international security.”

White House already gave a stern message to pakistan to end its all support to terror outfits

On Thursday it released a statement condemning the attack, "The United States calls on Pakistan to end immediately the support and safe haven provided to all terrorist groups operating on its soil, whose only goal is to sow chaos, violence, and terror in the region.”

Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has claimed responsibility for the terror attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday where at least 40 CRPF soldiers dead and thers critically injured.
