Cricket fraternity mourns the demise of Andrew Symonds

Australian veteran cricketer and all-rounder Andrew Symonds passed away in a car crash during the late hours of Saturday (local time) and the cricketer died on spot after he succumbed to various injuries. The entire cricket fraternity was left in shock with the news and the condolences poured in from all the corners of the globe. All the players and cricketers who played and worked with Andrew Symonds shared their fond memories with the veteran cricketer. A local man tried to revive Andrew Symonds after his car crashed in Queensland. The 46-year-old was severely injured and a local resident Waylon Townson heard the crash and rushed to the spot.

He tried to pull out Andrew Symonds and started doing CPR but there was no response from the cricketer. Emergency services rushed to the spot and Andrew Symonds was the sole occupant in the car. It is unclear about how the accident took place. Andrew Symonds played 26 tests and 198 ODIs along with 14 T20s and 39 IPL matches. He was out of the 2009 T20 World Cup due to disciplinary reasons. Andrew Symonds is survived by his wife and two kids. His wife Laura responded saying that he was a person who spent time with everyone. She said that she is left in deep shock. Andrew Symonds is a chilled person and he was quite practical. His last rites will be held today in his hometown.
