On Friday, Lava Storm Play 5G made its debut in India, featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor, along with a 5G variant known as Storm Lite. Both smartphones are priced under Rs. 10,000 and will be available for purchase on Amazon later this month. Each device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and a 50-megapixel main camera on the back. The Lava Storm Lite 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset. These latest models join the original Lava Storm 5G, which was revealed in December 2023. The Lava Storm Play 5G is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the single configuration of 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage, while the Lava Storm Lite 5G comes in at Rs. 7,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. Both models will be sold in India via Amazon, with the Play version available starting June 19 at 12 PM IST, and the Lite model launching on June 24.

The Lava Storm Play 5G features a 6.75-inch HD+ display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 SoC and is equipped with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM alongside 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. This device will operate on Android 15 right out of the box. In terms of photography, it includes a primary 50-megapixel Sony IMX752 sensor paired with a secondary 2-megapixel sensor on the rear. For taking selfies and video calls, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone is designed with a single speaker unit. The Lava Storm Play 5G's 5,000mAh battery supports 18W wired charging through a USB Type-C port, and it carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. For security, it uses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Lava Storm Lite 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, which works in conjunction with 4GB of RAM and offers up to 128GB of internal storage. This model includes a 5-megapixel front camera and supports 15W wired charging. All other specifications, such as the display, battery, build quality, operating system, and primary camera, are consistent with those found in the Lava Storm Play 5G.
