Vivo X500 series is anticipated to be released this year as the new version of the Vivo X300 range, which previously featured the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro. For months, information and speculation about this new series have been appearing online, suggesting what the top models might include. A recent report mentioned that the regular version could come with the new MediaTek Dimensity 9600 processor, whereas the Vivo X500 Pro may feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chip. However, a new report indicates that the regular Vivo X500 will have an improved version of the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip from last year. A source on Weibo named Digital Chat Station has posted important details regarding an unnamed smartphone. A Gizmochina article claims that these details belong to the expected Vivo X500. It is rumored that this phone will be powered by a “slightly improved” version of the 3nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, known internally as DX5. Additionally, it is expected to have a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, upgrading from the 50-megapixel sensor present in the previous model.

Furthermore, the Vivo X500 is believed to have a display measuring 6.59 inches. Reports suggest it will be supported by a battery of at least 7,500mAh capacity. Finally, the phone is expected to come with a 50-megapixel primary camera on the back that has a 1/1.28-inch sensor. However, the company has not yet validated these details. Earlier, it was thought that the Vivo X500 would debut with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9600 chip, potentially manufactured using a 2nm process, similar to Samsung's Exynos 2600 chip. Meanwhile, it seems that the expected Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max will both have the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chip. This indicates that the Vivo X500 and Vivo X500 Pro will utilize different MediaTek chips, unlike last year’s Vivo X300 Pro and Vivo X300, which shared the high-end MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip. Additionally, this year’s lineup is predicted to feature a Pro Max version, a change from last year’s Vivo X300 series.
