Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which is a follow-up to the hit film Dhurandhar from 2025, is breaking records by achieving remarkable box office successes over the weekend. On its first Sunday, Dhurandhar 2 earned Rs 114.85 crore, bringing its total earnings in India to Rs 411.12 crore. Worldwide, the film has surpassed Rs 691.32 crore. On Sunday, the Hindi version of Dhurandhar 2 contributed Rs 107 crore to the total in India, while the Kannada and Malayalam versions added Rs 0.01 crore and Rs 0.09 crore respectively, according to Sacnilk.

The Tamil and Telugu versions generated Rs 2.50 crore and Rs 5.25 crore respectively, further boosting the impressive figures. Taking advantage of the long weekend, Dhurandhar 2 began its box office adventure with Rs 102.55 crore on March 19. The film's earnings were bolstered by Rs 80.72 crore on March 20 and Rs 113 crore on March 21. Notably, Dhurandhar 2 continued to capture box office success with impressive revenues throughout the weekend.

On March 19, the movie had 21,633 showings in India, while the number of shows on Sunday decreased slightly to 21,202. Compared to recent Hindi blockbusters, Dhurandhar 2 is significantly ahead. Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal from 2023, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, earned Rs 63 crore on its opening day, while Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan from 2023 made Rs 65 crore on its first day. On December 18, Dhurandhar 2 had preview screenings across several Indian cities. As reported by Sacnilk, the film made Rs 43 crore from 12,735 showings that day, despite some cancellations. The director, Aditya Dhar, expressed an apology for any troubles caused, stating: "To our beloved Dhurandhar family, Dhurandhar is not merely a movie for us—it is something we have cherished, cared for, and aspired to share with all of you, together at the same time, in every language. " "Most of our Hindi screenings in India are proceeding as planned from 5 pm onward. All of our Tamil and Telugu showings will start at 9 pm. However, due to unexpected technical issues, our Malayalam and Kannada shows will commence tomorrow morning. "

Dhurandhar, which came out in December 2025, became the highest-earning film of the year and the top-grosser in one language. Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt return to their roles in this new movie.
