Realme 16 5G is set to be launched in India shortly. On Monday, Realme unveiled the first official teaser for this new 5G device. This teaser showcases the design and availability information of the forthcoming Realme 16 5G. The phone was introduced in some global markets back in January and features a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo processor as well as a 6.57-inch AMOLED screen. The worldwide version comes with a powerful 7,000mAh battery and a dual rear camera setup, led by a main camera with 50 megapixels. Its construction is rated IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. The Chinese technology company has declared that the Realme 16 5G will be launched in India soon. Although the specific launch date is still unknown, Realme has confirmed that it will be sold through Flipkart. The teasers released by the company highlight the phone’s design along with camera samples. Both Flipkart and Realme have created special microsites on their platforms to generate excitement for the Realme 16 5G’s arrival. It is claimed to be India’s first 'Selfie Mirror Phone' because it includes a selfie mirror within the rear camera setup, allowing users to see their photos in real time. It is suggested to have a lightweight design that seems to take inspiration from the iPhone Air. The device is pictured in white with a horizontal camera bar covered in glass spanning across the back, similar to the style of the Google Pixel 10 line.
The Realme 16 5G was launched in Vietnam in January this year, priced at VND 11,490,000 (around Rs. 40,000) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version. The higher-end model with 12GB RAM and the same storage costs VND 12,490,000 (approximately Rs. 44,000). The global model is available in two colors: Black Cloud and White Swan. The international version of the Realme 16 5G features a 6.57-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It contains a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo processor and includes a dual rear camera system, which has a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens along with a 2-megapixel monochrome camera. The Realme 16 5G has a 50-megapixel front camera, and it is powered by a 7,000mAh battery with capabilities for 60W wired fast charging and reverse charging. The device is rated IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K for resistance against dust and water.
